Can't Get Key Out Of Ignition Camaro

Can't get key out of ignition camaro. I could not drive to any place because I had to leave the key in the ignition. Never had a warning that there was a problem. Most car with headers have it disabled and if the lever at the bottom of the column isnt wired up all the way the collar at the top of the column isnt turned counter-clockwise all the way and you cant get the key out.

Came home and it turned as normal. Couldnt get the key out after turning off the engine without realizing disco wasnt in PARK. About 7 months ago KJ7 posted a video of somebody with the same problem but in a Camaro.

This is our recommended order to do them in. The key will only get stuck in the ignition if the car is stationary which may cause the battery to go flat if it cannot be moved out of the accessory position to the off position. If this does not work rock the steering wheel as you jiggle the key in the ignition.

Cant turn ignition to get key out. This morning nothing I screwed with the shifter the wheel the tab no turn. Hey guys girls.

How to Get Key Unstuck. Theres the same yellow switch that the Camaro has but its on the opposite side of the ignition to the Camaro. IGNITION KEY WILL NOT RELEASE.
