According to the latest news assembly at the General Motors Lansing Grand River plant is being idled until October 4 2021. This time it will be closed from May 10 to June 28. Back in mid-March we reported that production of the Chevrolet Camaro as well as the Cadillac CT4 and CT5 was shutting down for at least 2 weeks.
Exactly one week later everything was shut down again. The Chevrolet Camaro is a mid-size American automobile manufactured by Chevrolet classified as a pony car and also as a muscle car with some versions. 2022 is the seventh model year of the sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
The 2022 Camaro already went into production a month ago on August 17. The global microchip shortage will force some automakers to prioritize the production of only their most important models. The Chevrolet Camaro has been having a tough time lately.
